ATI Next Generation GPUs To Be Available In October 2010

Although ATI's partners and retailers can cut their profit margins in order to get more competitive, ATI will keeps its chips price stable in the short term. When the really significant price cuts should come in October, ATI will release its next generation GPU to profit more.

Next generation ATI GPUs will come in the latter part of this year, most likely in October. The upcoming ATI GPUs will simply be one year after the introduction of Radeon 5000 series, and still be 40nm. Besides that, two codenames Turks and Caicos could replace Radeon HD 5670 and Radeon 5550 and 5400.

Cayman, a codename, could replaces Radeon HD 5800 series, but this chip might not make it to market this year. However, it is possible that this chip will be released together with the other ones in October. Meanwhile, ATI will also plan a dual-chip high performance card(Graphics Card).
