Android 3.0 is replacing the currently used Android 2.3 in THC Flyer. Get more information about it in this article.
HTC Flyer is more and more close to users now. However, the operating system of HTC Flyer is Android 2.3 rather than Android 3.0 as the former rumors told. Fortunately, HTC confirms again on its Twitter home page that HTC Flyer will get Android 3.0 upgrade soon after it lands on shelves.
In fact, THC have announced many times that it will upgrade the system to Android 3.0 for HTC Flyer. But a dual core processor is necessary to get Android 3.0 upgrade as rumors say. So, many core solo processor users begin to worry about whether their devices can upgrade to the Android 3.0. What's more, all the tablets which have landed on shelves use dual core Tegra 2 processor.
It's a good new for users if HTC Flyer upgrades to Honeycomb system. Many other tablets which use core solo processors, Samsung P1000 for example, stand a chance to upgrade to Honeycomb as well if HTC Flyer succeed. So the question is whether HTC Flyer can finish this work. And the answer is probably yes considering HTC have announced so many times about that.
